We were all a little curious when it was announced Solar Springs Retreat, on the edge of Morton National Park in Bundanoon, would be undergoing a transformation of its very own in 2019, re-emerging as a boutique hotel. 

 

Re-creating such a well-known and much loved venue was bound to be a long and intricate process, and while a few more T’s get crossed and some extra I’s are dotted, it seemed a shame that such a unique space sit idle for so long. So Solar Springs is being offered up as a group rental venue for short term stays in January and February with building works due to get underway in March.

Solar Springs Retreat is on the edge of Morton National Park, a wonderful natural space known for it’s breathtaking views and bushwalks. If you like to get back to nature on two wheels, the Wingello State Forest with some fab mountain biking tracks is a 10 minute drive away. Or if your idea of getting back to nature involves hitting some balls around a fairway with a stick, the Sylvan Glen Golf Course in Wingello is not too far away. And of course the gardens of Solar Springs are a delight to wander around at any time of the year - so peaceful and tranquil.

Local caterer My Fare Lady specialises in holiday rental menus – such a great idea!
