February Bucket List

February may be the shortest month of the year but that doesn’t mean less happens. In fact, this February our Events Directory cup runneth over! February is jam packed with so much to do, see, learn, test and try!

Here are some of our Feb picks to pop in your diary this month.

The Press Shop in Bowral is hosting the first of a monthly casual shared dining experience on February 12. The Locals Supporting Locals Dinner celebrates our producers from our region with Head Chef Nathan West sourcing the freshest of seasonal, local ingredients to create a menu that is 100% Southern Highlands and of course, ridiculously delicious. How good is it to support our awesome farmers?

We love a good frothie here at The Fold, and this Paddock to Pint experience definitely made our ears prick up. Visit Southern Highlands Brewing Farm at Sutton Forest where the hops are grown and then turned into delicious craft beer. Harvest some hops yourself before heading to The Taphouse in Mossy for a delicious lunch – how does Beer Tasters matched to each dish sound? Yep! Yep! Aaaaand yep!

Wowsers! Did anyone’s bank account take a beating over the holidays? Now might be the perfect time for a FREE financial health check from local financial planning expert, Eric Priebee at Fiducian Financial Services. The team at Fiducian in Bowral can help you get back on track and shore up your financial future. Kick some financial goals this year and get in touch with Eric to organise your free financial health check.

This looks like so much fun and such a good laugh! Artist Bronwen Batten has combined the awkwardness of dating with off-the-cuff (and hilarious!) improvisation to create Onstage Dating at the Mittagong Playhouse. Bronwen ‘dates’ volunteers from the audience with heart warming and hilarious results. It’s a little risqué so keep the kids at home!

Did you know there are over 2000 small farms in the Southern Highlands? That’s why the Small Farm Field Day is a popular date on the Highlands calendar for those of us living on the land. Plenty of exhibitors with the latest range of farming equipment and supplies on show. And don’t miss the Boggy Creek whip cracking and horse show or ShowMo’s racing mowers! Just some of the entertainment to keep the whole family entertained this weekend.
