A three day camping and canoeing voyage for both the experienced and inexperienced alike - all you need is a sense of adventure.
This is a 3 day, 2 night epic water voyage for both the experienced or inexperienced adventurer alike. Expect to navigate some of the best flat water canoeing locations in the state as you explore the Upper Shoalhaven Gorge and Bundanoon Creek Arms of Lake Yarrunga with certified guide Travis Frenay of Paddle & Portage Canoes. You will see Kangaroo Valley and the Shoalhaven in a completely new way.
The trip starts at Tallowa Dam and over 3 days you explore water only accessible sites such as private beaches, caverns, the sunken gumtree forest and sleep overnight at stunning national park locations only the locals know. Wildlife is abundant in the region and there will even be time to enjoy a night paddle, drifting along as you take in the night sky. Oh and even though we provide the tents, you will have to set them up. This is a hand’s on camping and canoeing adventure, no concierge here.
On this trip you will learn the skills to competently paddle a tandem canoe, set up a waterside campsite, cook on a camp-stove, and set-up and sleep in a tent under the stars and towering cliff escarpment above. So if you want to learn from expert guides and master skills that you can call upon in the future, this is the right experience.
Package cost for entire trip is $995 with camping equipment, food, canoes, 2 qualified and Wilderness First Aid trained guides and tents provided.
Only 12 spots available in each trip. Invest in yourself, meet like-minded people and take the challenge – the only thing you need is lots of spirit. You might also want to pack clothes, sleeping bag, pillow and alcoholic beverages (optional)
