About your facilitator – Michel Vermande
Michel Vermande grew up in Nancy, a city in North-East France famous for the birth of the Art Nouveau movement. He undertook his jewellery apprenticeship in his hometown under the guidance of Paris trained designer-jeweller Bernard Buguet. Michel arrived in Australia in 1980 and spent many years working for some of Sydney's leading jewellery houses. He also spent four years teaching students in the jewellery trade course at the Design Centre Enmore.
Blending modern manufacturing techniques with classic skills developed over a lifetime, Michel specialises in producing unique and individual jewellery pieces using the highest quality materials and gemstones.
